Driving up to this hotel took my breath away - what a gorgeous, historic building, with wad loads of character. Check in was wonderful - the staff couldn't do more to help. The room we stayed in was on the 5th floor and we had a sofa bed for our child and were able to open the sun lights in the roof - truly magical. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious, the bar fridge and coffee machine were an added bonus. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff again, amazing. The pool was perfect for our little family and a nice time-out at the end of the day. Parking was easy to find and the courtyard in the middle of the hotel was a perfect retreat for a parents drink :) The hotel is so central and such great value - you'd be crazy not to take this place up!

The covent is excellently converted into the hotel, and there is so much to see and admire through out. Very big and comfortable rooms, and the amenities provided are excellent value for money. The food at the restaurant was amazingly delicious. The care, attention to detail and professionalism of all the staff we encountered could not have been more excellent. Because we had to leave at 7am, they were very prompt to offer and prepare a takeaway breakfast bag, very complete and that home made cake was superb, thank you! Definitely worth the money for a special occasion or if you simply can easily afford it. Strongly recommend for stress free, comfortable and pampered stay!

Beautiful hotel in an old monastery. The rooms are comfortable but very plain. There is a fridge and a safe. Bathroom is spacious. Big bonus is the swimming pool in an adjacent building. The breakfast is very good with nice selection of cheeses, cold cuts, fruit, breads etc. - there is even the famous tarta de Santiago to try. Convenient location - everything you want to see in Santiago de Compostela is very close. There is free parking in the back of the building. I recommend asking upfront for the directions to the parking. The hotel is next to a church and the churchgoers don't take it lightly if your car is in their way.

Checkin was very efficient, and the staff even handled returning my car rental's return to the man collecting it, which enabled me to leave the hotel and meet my wife who was walking the Camino de Santiago's final day of the Portuguese Way. Breakfast was great, in the monks gathering hall. The building is renovated in a monastery built after St. Francis of Assisi visited the Pilgrimage site, and it is about 250 meters from Santiago Cathedral in a quiet area. There was a wedding in the church attached, very nice facilities with long history.

What a great experience!! From the check-in by the highly professional, welcoming, and helpful staff, to the size of the rooms, and especially the fact that you know that you're staying in what was a monastery, it was a true traveler's experience. In addition, the location was close to restaurants, bars, cafes, bakeries, and of course, the Catedral. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Santiago de Campostela. (I was actually surprised that this wasn't a parador. t certainly felt like many of the paradors in which we've stayed in Spain.
